Fishing Derby, 2019!
After an absence of 7 years, the Brandon Fishing Derby has returned! With donations of fish from Vermont Fish and Wildlife, and training from the members of the Lets Go Fishing Group in Brandon, 117 kids got to catch their limit in a supervised environment on a sunny day in Goshen, VT! The Brandon Area Toy Project donated prizes for everyone and made sure that no one went away hungry by handing out lunch to hungry fisherpeople! We work together with Brandon Rec in order for kids to have a terrific time in the spring!
Fishing in Vermont is a family activity! Not only do our families spend quality time together, the concept of catching your supper teaches independence and makes the kids proud of their achievement!
